I am thankful and thrilled to represent PRO in Central Oregon as a Program Coordinator.
My responsibilities will include coordinating support, exercise, outreach and educational programs along-side volunteers in Central Oregon for the benefit of those affected by Parkinson’s disease.
I have lived in Bend for 11 years, been married for 31 years and have 4 children ages 30, 28, 25, and 17. We spent the first 20 years of our family life in the San Diego area. I have an undergraduate degree in Health Education from San Diego State University and a Master’s degree in teaching from Oregon State University, Bend. Having an opportunity to use both my degrees, my work experience, and interests in my job is an amazing opportunity!
When I’m not working, I enjoy tending my little garden of squash, tomatoes, basil and flowers, my daily walk in the park, paddle boarding in the Deschutes river and area lakes, and keeping my coffee consumption fresh and varied. You’ll rarely see me without a mug in my hand.
Please be sure to introduce yourself and share your experience with Parkinson’s. I’ll look for you at the various events in Central Oregon.
